Summary of Change.Volume 5, Chapter 14, Section 1, Determine If an Applicant/Certificated Airman Meets the English Language Eligibility Requirement for an FAA Certificate.

Explanation of Policy Changes. This change creates new Volume 5, Chapter 14, FAA English Language Standard for Certification Under 14 CFR Parts, 61, 63, 65, and 107, Section 1. This new section contains guidance for conducting an assessment to determine that an applicant or certificated airman whose English language skills are in question does or does not meet the FAA regulatory English language eligibility requirement to hold an FAA certificate. This change helps align the order with Advisory Circular (AC) 60-28B, FAA English Language Standard for an FAA Certificate Issued Under 14 CFR Parts 61, 63, 65, and 107.
