CHAPTER 33  CABIN SAFETY AND FLIGHT ATTENDANT MANAGEMENT

Section 1  General Information

3-3441.   PURPOSE. The sections of this chapter contain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) policy, procedures, and guidance regarding cabin safety information and flight attendant duties and responsibilities.

3-3442.   BACKGROUND. The information contained in this chapter has been compiled from FAA policy documents such as Air Carrier Operations Bulletins (ACOB), Flight Standards Information Bulletins for Air Transportation (FSAT), Handbook Bulletins for Air Transportation (HBAT), and Action Notices (AN). These documents address conditions or problems applicable to air carrier safety and provide guidance regarding changes or advances in air carrier procedures, practices or problems involving such matters as aircraft or equipment, operations, or communications that should be brought to the field inspector’s attention.

3-3443.   ORGANIZATION OF CHAPTER. The sections of this chapter correspond to the various subparts contained in Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 121.
