1.         Receive request to evaluate avionics equipment

2.         Review applicable regulations to determine which instruments and/or equipment require approval

 

3.         Verify approval

3.1        If equipment data plate does not indicate appropriate approval status, determine method by which equipment received approval through operator’s records

3.2        Ensure all avionics equipment requiring FAA approval has appropriate documentation for that approval

3.3        Ensure that the equipment is used only on the aircraft for which it is approved
