TASK DESCRIPTION:

Inspect the Certificate Holder’s dispatch operations to determine compliance with the Certificate Holder’s manual, Federal Aviation Regulations and FAA policies including System Safety Attributes when applicable. Document the results of the comparison and, in addition, any observed deficiencies in the procedures.

 

SUBTASK 1:

Become familiar with FAA guidance.

Objective/Skill:

Performance:

·     Review the information listed in the Supplemental Information Section contained in DCT EPI 3.2.1.

·     Review the guidance and policy contained in FAA Order 8900.1.

Conditions:

·     Using ATOS DCT EPI 3.2.1. (see note below)

·     FAA Order 8900.1, Vol. 6, Chap. 2, Sec. 22.

Standards:

·     IAW EPI 3.2.1.

·     IAW Guidance and Policy contained in FAA Order 8900.1, Vol. 6, Chap. 2, Sec. 22.

Knowledge:

·     Understand the Regulatory Requirements and Policy contained in the EPI 3.2.1, Section 1-Performance Observables.

·     Understand the Guidance and Policy contained in FAA Order 8900.1, Vol. 6, Chap. 2, Sec. 22.

·     Know how to apply the Management Responsibility and Authority Observables.

SUBTASK 4:

Determine that the Certificate Holder has the policies, controls, and procedures to support their Dispatching system. Conduct in-depth review of the Certificate Holder’s Dispatching System.
