TASK DESCRIPTION:

Inspect a Certificate Holder’s extended range operations to determine compliance with the Certificate Holder’s manual. Document the results of the comparison and any observed deficiencies in the procedures.

 

SUBTASK 1:

Review and become familiar with the FAA’s extended range guidance material.

Objective/Skill:

Performance:

·    Review the information listed in the supplemental information section contained in DCT 5.1.8.

·    Review the guidance and policy contained in FAA Order 8900.1 and AC 120-42.

Conditions:

·    Using ATOS DCT EPI 5.1.8 (See Note Below)

·    Using Order 8900.1 and AC 120-42.

Standards:

·    Regulatory Requirements and Policy contained in the EPI 5.1.8, Section 1-Performance Observables.

·    IAW Guidance and Policy contained in Order 8900.1 and AC 120-42.

Knowledge:

SUBTASK 4:

Inspect the Certificate Holder’s ETOPS program and document results.

·    Observe the Certificate Holder’s dispatch/flight release ETOPS operations.

·    Conduct an in-flight evaluation of the Certificate Holder’s ETOPS operations and document results.
