TASK DESCRIPTION:

 

Determine that the Certificate Holder’s Carry-On Baggage Program meets FAA regulatory requirements and policies including System Safety Attributes when applicable.  Identify and document deficiencies in the Certificate Holder’s Carry-On Baggage Program and ensure those deficiencies are corrected prior to program approval.

 

SUBTASK 1:

 

Review and become familiar with FAA Carry-On Baggage regulations and policies.

Objective / Skill:

Performance: 

·              Review the information listed in the supplemental information section contained in DCT 3.1.5.

·              Review the guidance and policy contained in FAA Order 8900.1.

Conditions:

·              Using ATOS DCT SAI 3.1.5 (See Note Below)

·              FAA Order 8900.1, Vol. 3, Chapter 33, Section 6.

Standards:

·              Regulatory Requirements and Policy contained in the SAI 3.1.5, Section 1 – Procedures Attribute.

·              IAW Guidance and Policy contained in FAA Order 8900.1, Vol. 3, Chapter 33, Section 6.

Knowledge:

ELEMENT 3.2:

Document and approve the Certificate Holder’s Carry-On Baggage Program and issue Ops Specs.

Review the final approval guidance, issue Ops Specs Paragraph A011 and approval letter.
