They often contain information requiring prompt attention. The AEG Operations Inspector may determine the need for a Notification and assist in its development. Once coordinated and approved at Headquarters, Notifications are distributed to all appropriate field offices.

AEG may determine the need for a Notification when it becomes aware of some administrative or technical information that should be disseminated to all appropriate FAA field offices.

Aircraft manuals, operations manuals, accident/incident investigations teams, manufacturer’s data, etc. Assemble information about the problem in a useable format.
