Obtain Flight Operations Policy Board (FOPB) guidance on FOEB or FSB matters.

 

SUBTASK 1:

Create AEG office project record.

2. Create file folders (if applicable).

SUBTASK 2:

Identify a subject matter that needs policy to address it in a standardized manner.

2. New systems are introduced, or

3. Existing policy needs clarification.

ELEMENT 2.1:

Coordinate with other AEG offices.

Contact other affected AEG offices to discuss the policy need and manner in which it should be handled. Agree on who will prepare the policy request.

SUBTASK 3:

Draft a policy request

 

Objective/Skill:

Performance:

Describe the subject, research done, coordination with other AEGs, and existing policy (if any). Create at least one policy recommendation.

ELEMENT 3.1:

Coordinate draft policy request with other AEG offices.

Send draft policy request through AEG Office Manager to other AEG Office Managers for Inspector comments. Include a deadline.

Revise the policy request, as appropriate.

Review other AEG comments. Contact commenting AEGs if clarification is needed. Come to a consensus with them, and then revise the policy request.

SUBTASK 4:

Send the policy request to the FOPB Chairman.

Send the policy request through AEG Office Manager, to the FOPB Chairman, AFS-200. Indicate the other AEG’s concurrence or non-concurrence. Request a response by a particular date.

SUBTASK 5:

Distribute the FOPB Chairman response to policy request

 

Objective/Skill:

After receipt of policy from the FOPB Chairman, ask AEG Office Manager to send it to all AEG Office Managers for dissemination to affected AEG employees.
