1.                   Receive request for approval of a parachute alteration

2.                   Inspect auxiliary parachute for compliance with airworthiness requirements

3.                   Evaluate alteration

3.1               Contact other offices with appropriate technical knowledge and experience, as required

3.2               If alteration conforms to regulatory requirements, approve alteration

4.                   Review parachute alteration data for completeness and accuracy

4.1               If alteration data is satisfactory, accept alteration data

5.                   Analyze results of evaluation

5.1               If disapproved, return entire file to applicant and specify reasons for rejection
