1.         Determine need for designation

 

            1.1        Receive and review examiner qualification/designation record from pilot school for completeness and accuracy

2.         Open PTRS record

3.         Determine if applicant is suitable for initial designation or renewal of an existing ACR authority and meets all qualification requirements

            3.1        Notify pilot school if applicant is found unqualified and/or unsuitable and discuss with applicant and pilot school personnel to resolve discrepancies

            3.2        Terminate designation if discrepancies cannot be resolved and notify pilot school in writing

4.         Continue with evaluation/designation if applicant is found suitable and qualified

4.1        If applicant is qualified, inspector shall train ACR in procedures used to evaluate airman applications and training records

            4.2        Conduct oral examination of applicant's knowledge to include appropriate parts of regulations and orders

            5.1        Deny designation and notify pilot school, inform applicant, and explain how to correct deficiency if applicant fails designation
