                                                                 (BOEING B-747-8)

Highlights of Change

EFFECTIVE ABOVE DATE, the Boeing 747-8 Master Minimum Equipment List has been revised.  Throughout this document, “747-8F” refers to a freighter configuration, and “747-8I” refers to a passenger configuration (Intercontinental).  The changes in this revision were made to increase dispatch flexibility as well as improve consistency and safety.  All changes are reflected in the highlights of change listed below and are indicated by revision bars.  For any change affecting an ATA section, all pages in the associated ATA section are dated for the current revision.

ATA 25 EQUIPMENT/FURNISHINGS

Item -40-03:             Revised item name from "Wheelchair Accessible Lavatory Items (747-8I)” to “Deleted” to prevent implication that relief is not available for these items elsewhere.

ATA 27 FLIGHT CONTROLS

Item -11-02:             Reformatted into separate subitems for each PCU and added specific hydraulic requirements.  Changed requirement to allow only one PCU inoperative.

Item -89-01:             Clarified existing relief (27-89-01A and 27-89-01D).  Added two new dispatch options (27-89-01B and 27-89-01C) based on spare trace configurations.

ATA 29 HYDRAULIC POWER

Item -11-01:             Reformatted into separate subitems for each EDP system (systems 1 and 4 only; there is no relief for systems 2 and 3) and added cross-reference provisos to the outboard aileron PCUs.

Item -11-02:             Reformatted into separate subitems for each demand pump and added cross-reference provisos to the outboard aileron PCUs. Removed the proviso which limited minimum ground operating temperature to -29 degrees C OAT. Added proviso requirement for associated hydraulic temperature indication to operate normally for ground operations below -18 degrees C OAT.

Item -11-03:             Reformatted into separate subitems for each demand hydraulic pump selector and added cross-reference provisos to the outboard aileron PCUs.

Item -32-01:             Added proviso requiring the associated demand hydraulic pump operate normally for ground operations below -18 degrees C OAT.

ATA 33 LIGHTS

Item -37-01:             Changed number installed from "31" to "-".

ATA 73 ENGINE FUEL AND CONTROL

Item -11-02:             Revised heat exchanger nomenclature from “engine fuel cooled oil cooler (FCOC)” to “main fuel/oil” to align with AMM.

Item -11-03:             Moved item to 79-21-02 to align with ATA numbering specification.

ATA 79 ENGINE OIL

Item -21-02:             Moved from 73-11-03 and revised heat exchanger nomenclature from “Engine Fuel Cooled Oil Cooler (FCOC)” to “Main Fuel/Oil” to align with AMM.
