TASK DESCRIPTION:

 

Determine that the Certificate Holder’s Weight and Balance Control Program meets FAA regulatory requirements and policies including System Safety Attributes when applicable.  Identify and document any deficiencies in the Certificate Holder’s Weight and Balance Control Program and ensure those deficiencies are corrected prior to p rogram approval.

 

SUBTASK 1:

 

Review and become familiar with FAA Weight and Balance Control Program regulations and policies. 

Objective / Skill:

Performance: 

·              Review the information listed in the supplemental information section contained in DCT 1.3.17.

·              Review the policy and guidance contained in FAA Order 8900.1.

Knowledge:

Approve and authorize the Certificate Holder’s Weight and Balance Control Program.

Performance: 

Review the final approval guidance.  Issue Ops Specs A011, A096/A097/A098/A099 and/or E096.  Issue initial approval letter.

Conditions:

Completed documentation.
